Rick Schwalbach
Rick has more than 30 years of experience in journalism and communications directed at employees, customers and shareholders.
He began his career at The Wall Street Journal in New York, working on a copy desk that proofread each edition for style and accuracy. Staying with parent company Dow Jones & Co., Rick moved to the Dow Jones Capital Markets Report newswire and advanced to supervise a copyediting operation that covered global markets around the clock.
In the mid-1990s, he relocated to the Houston area and joined BabbHouston, a public relations firm that works with leading oil and gas and technology companies. It was during this time that Rick honed his writing skills to complement his background as an editor and manager.

Anne Culotta
With a diverse educational background that includes a Ph.D. in chemistry, an MBA and an advanced law degree, Anne has put her knowledge and skills to use by building businesses for the last 25 years.
A Houston native, she has nearly 20 years of combined corporate experience at Exxon Mobil Corporation and Halliburton Energy Services Inc. At Halliburton, Anne formed and managed their Intellectual Asset Management Group, reporting directly to the CTO and overseeing the company’s budget for patents. At ExxonMobil, she held various positions as a Ph.D. chemist focusing on new product R&D and commercialization.
She later joined the University of Texas Medical Branch as an associate vice president in the Office of Technology Transfer. Her responsibilities included drafting and negotiating agreements across the realm of technology licensing, supervising a seven-person staff and advising on the patenting of healthcare-related invention disclosures and technology-based university start-up companies.
In addition to her current role with Schwalbach & Culotta, Anne is also the principal of the Culotta Law Firm. As an intellectual property (IP) attorney, she counsels and assists entrepreneurs in forming, planning and operating IP-related start-up companies.
